Leote Rec #8: Psychic TV Podcast

  monday @ 11pm & thursday @ 11am [GMT]

Psychic TV, or PTV, made its debut in 1982 at an event organised by Genesis P-Orridge, David Dawson, and Roger Ely, called The Final Academy. It brought performers and audience together with literature, performance, film and music.

The band was originally formed by performance artist P-Orridge and video director Peter Christopherson (after the breakup of Throbbing Gristle), with Alex Fergusson, musician and producer (a key member of Alternative TV for whom P-Orridge had played percussion).

Psychic TV set about, in the mid-eighties, to release 23 live albums on the 23rd of each month for 23 months in recognition of the 23 enigma.

Currently, they´re recording and performing live under the name of PTV3.
