More than twice as many British Muslims have travelled  to Syria an Iraq to wage jihad than have joined the British military over the past three years.

Foreign policy in Iraq and Afghanistan where Britain played a leading role in the two wars and inaction over muslims killed by Prseident Assad in Syria has turned some Muslims off the military, it was said. There was also a fear of being labelled a traitor by fellow Muslims for joining a force that had operated in Muslim countries.
